During the course, participants will explore the core content of the Stage 6 Mathematics Extension 2 course, focusing on strengthening their understanding of the content and exploring the connections between topics. The course will also highlight effective pedagogical approaches for teaching each topic. Drawing on their own classroom experience, the presenter(s) will share strategies to help reduce student misconceptions and enhance performance, incorporating insights from HSC markers.
Participants will engage with a variety of hands-on, high-quality learning activities and reflect on how these can be adapted for their own classrooms, leaving the course equipped with enhanced teaching strategies and practical, ready-to-use problems and resources to support their students' learning. These materials can be implemented immediately and shared with colleagues.

This course is designed for teachers new to teaching the Stage 6 Extension 2 course, or those who haven't taught it in recent years and are looking for a refresher or fresh ideas.
Participants should already be familiar with the content of the current (2024) Advanced and Extension 1 courses.
